Did your friend say that they will give you some sort of guidance on your application? I e-mailed them last night because I really don't understand why I was flat out rejected. I understand that it was particularly competitive this year, but I just felt that from a statistical standpoint, I should have been in or at least waitlisted. I really am curious what my application was missing/what they didn't like about me. Makes me nervous about other applications that I have pending.
does anyone have any idea what average stats are for admission into harvard's mpp program? are stats all that important, or are they more holistic in their review process?
so i called this morning because i didn't feel like spending an entire day refreshing my mailbox. i asked about a timeline for decisions. his response was "end of march," to which I responded "after spring break?" He said "potentially, yes" whatever that means! i'm so sick of this.
Ahhh! The same thing happened to me, I think. I looked at it last week and noticed that my statement of purpose was not in there. I could have SWORN I submitted it, but I e-mailed back and forth with them and they told me I wasn't missing anything. Can someone remind me what the essays were again? I submitted 3 total, but I could have sworn it should have been 4 with the one optional one....
They said the committee will make scholarship decisions on the 6th and I will receive an update by Wednesday, March 11th if selected. I feel that I may be in the last batch, which doesn't bode very well for me getting much money from them. I had my application in at the end of December, but for some reason my official GRE scores didn't reach them until the end of February and I didn't get a decision until shortly after that. Very frustrating.
What's the high end of scholarship offering? I've seen a lot of 10k and 12k on this board. Has anyone received more than that? Thanks!
Great, thank you! Mine will likely be a little over a page single-spaced. I'm concerned that a lot of the scholarship money has been given away at this point, but I'm staying optimistic. Congrats on your admission and scholarship!
