Yup. But, not too ancient. I work with Medieval Ireland.
-
Thank you, Meowser, as that was extremely informative.
-
Unfortunately no, I will not be going into forensics. I only deal with very old bones. I do enjoy the television show "Bones" though, and my cat is named Dr. Bones.
-
Or use godaddy.com for that matter? Yeah. This is just like this morning. Sorry to those who bought it.
-
Yeah... I'm skeptical about that. The last there was "scheduled maintenance" and everything was supposed to be shut down, I could still get it the whole time. I think this means nothing. Again, I'm not worrying about anything until I get that e-mail. Then I'm either going to drink, or I'll go drink.

*Does an awesome trick involving three emus and a backhoe* Tada!
-
It certainly destroyed my spirit. I honestly (and I mean honestly) am done worrying. I've come to terms with the fact that I have no power over the date and time of the awarding. I nonchalantly await that little message in my inbox...
-
I second this. Try not to hit 115 pages in the next couple hours or I will have an attack when I return this evening...
-
I hope not. I'm still holding out for some time this afternoon...
-
Is this post not grounds for getting this person chucked out of here? Whoa, 100 pages.

Man, Yakiguri needs some mad knowledge dropped upon him/her. Where are our valiant defenders Friar Tuck and Blackbeard when we need them? *blows the trumpet of all that is just and right*
-
Would someone explain the logic again that results won't be posted after noon? I think it would be perfectly reasonable for them to post them at 5:00, and then run out of the office so they don't have to answer our stupid questions. I'm sure the website has 24hour tech support, so why wouldn't they post results whenever they felt like it?
-
I'm pretty certain that our roasted chestnuts friend is full of crap and simply wanted to give 150+ students brain aneurysms.
-
Actually, yakiguri are Japanese roasted chestnuts I believe...
-
Verily I shall stand by and by in thy noble quest, good sir Friar!
-
Well, at least we'll know by next Wednesday at the latest, right? What are the odds they'd move their own "deadline" again?

Arizona State University.

Yeah, this is crap. Today is my birthday. I was so sure I was going to get the greatest birthday present I could ask for from the NSF... damn. And, as obnoxious as it might be to cal and bother them daily about this, we all know it is more obnoxious for them to sit around not posting the results. Cheers. I think I'm going to find a bar...
-
I have no changes either. As far I can tell, the site hasn't gone down at all. I've check at least one an hour today and have never been blocked from the site. I hope that doesn't mean that I suck. Oh well.
-
Well, it's 2AM here. Nothing. I'm going to bed. I'll say a little prayer for us all as I lay me down to rest. Perhaps in the morning... *yawns*
-
Actually, for a few moments, just before I got very angry, a message like that from the NSF would make me smile.
-
Anyways... Caezar, I think There will be just under 9000, seeing as there were: 8582 in 2008, 8339 in 2007, & 8162 in 2006. (http://www.nsfgrfp.org/about_the_progra ... recipients)

Thank you for that extremely helpful comment, Friar.Tuck.

Thanks, Zygote. That's awesome. *breathes deeply*
