  1. Well this is the response I got from the Elliott School about my inquiry into financial aid packages. "The Elliott School has already notified those receiving fellowships from our office directly. The Elliott School should be sending financial aid packets, complete with loan and need-based aid information from the Office of Student Financial Assistance. I am not sure when these will be sent, but you can contact them directly at 202-994-6624. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. " Not much help...
  2. Yeah not sure of the criteria, but it varies quite a bit from school to school. I guess each one had certain things they are looking for. I just wish they would send out the whole package. I am going to attend the open house regardless and will most likely end up going to GWU, but I would like to know what type of loans i might have to take out.
  3. Has anyone received a full financial aid package from GWU yet for MA? Or does anyone know when they might be out? It sure would help in making a decision.
  4. Admitted students day at the Elliott School is the 17th of April.
  5. Just checked and into Bologna!! But w/out funding, hard to turn down the offer from GWU. Guess I'll see when the mail arrives next week.
  6. I agree that we could still be in the running for grants, but that information will come with the full financial aid package that we are to receive. Everything that I read said that completing the application was all that was required for the university grants and fellowships.
  7. I was accepted to DU as a Peace Corps Fellow. I would love to go there. It is no as well known as some others, but it is still a good school. I don't think anywhere could beat the location. Snowboarding in the winter and rafting, biking, trail running in the summer. It would be awesome. However, DU is not exactly cheap even as a Peace Corps Fellow. I received an email from GWU saying I was likely to be accepted with a partial tuition scholarship. It is already cheaper than DU and could be significantly cheaper than DU depending on the scholarship. I am still waiting to hear back from SAIS and GT. I am going to wait and see financial aid packages, but I just cannot see spending 10's of thousands more to go to DU instead of GWU. That being said I still have no idea. I plan on attending the GWU open house and possibly the others in DC if I get in. I will be interested to hear about the DU open house as I will not be able to attend.
  8. These blasted SAIS invites to information sessions and meet and greets keep faking me out. They get me all excited when I find them in my inbox before I actually realize what it is. They do sound cool though. Wish I lived closer.
  9. I emailed Georgetown about the MSFS open house and this was their response yesterday. "Thank you for your e-mail. All accepted students will receive information about the open house along with their admission decision." No word of when that might be.
  10. Has anyone heard when G-town is expected to notify admitted students? Also has anyone heard a date that G-town is expecting to have their open house for admitted students?
