  1. Loans I was awarded an assistantship which greatly reduces the tuition at the university I'm attending, but I'll still have to take out loans to cover everything (it's a private university). Honestly though, it's worth it to me because I feel like the school is a perfect fit, much more so than any other school I applied to. I've kind of resigned myself to the fact that I'll be in debt for a long while (considering the fact that my undergrad was ALSO a private college, although generous with scholarships. Sigh).

    Cleveland, OH

Bump... Anyone have any new thoughts about Cleveland? I'll be attending Case Western Reserve University in the fall, and really don't know too much about the city! I'd love any kind of information. Thanks!!!
  3. So, I heard from all my schools, but I can't stop checking my email obsessively and looking at the results page to see what schools are sending out decisions. How do I stop? It's like a compulsion now!!!
  4. Wow so... I heard from my last school I was waiting for today. It's over! I've made my decision, and will be declining quite a few acceptances and taking myself off the waitlist of quite a few schools as well. Now I guess I can stop checking my email obsessively and bugging my mom about if she has checked the mail yet. Weird. Very, very weird. Hope all you guys got/will be getting the news you were hoping for!
  5. This was my deadline too. I decided not to accept the offer - it was a good one financially, but all of their written material gave me a bad vibe. Plus, they don't like you to come visit after you get in, because of course you're supposed to fly all over the country to visit potential programs before you apply.. I visited schools that were close to me, but for the out of state visits just weren't feasible. Went on an admitted students visit today at another university and really liked it - I think I've made my choice!
  6. I saw that too... they told me in an email that they would be sending decisions out at the beginning of April, so I was surprised to see that result listed. No email for me, and my status page still says in review.
  7. That is awful!!!! I am giving you an internet hug!
  8. Thanks, you guys, that makes me feel a lot better. I just keep doubting myself and my choices during this whole process!! I'll be happy when I finally sign my name to a school. I'm visiting that particular school on Monday, so that will be the only fact I'll take into consideration... not some US News rating!
  9. Does anybody know what the rankings are based on? I have zero clue, and a school that I think I really like dropped significantly. It's a small program, so I wonder if that factors in...? I'm just really curious how much they should impact my decision of where to go... I've gotten into much higher ranked schools than the one I thought was my first choice, and its lower ranking makes me nervous! I just don't know how much stock to put in them... I'd like to know what they're based on! Anybody have any clue?
  10. Do you know if they're sending out emails, or sending letters out in the mail?
  11. I applied to Cincinnati too. I don't mean to be all negative, but I'm kind of thinking no email yet = waitlisted or rejected. I noticed from the results last year that all the acceptances went out closer to the beginning of March, whereas all the rejections and waitlists were sent out closer to the end of the month. I mean, I hope not but... kind of looks that way to me. :-/ And also... I misspelled something in my personal statement, so I wouldn't admit me either, lol. Right after I pressed submit on CSDCAS I realized my mistake, and started freaking out. They let me send them a corrected statement, but... let's just say the word I misspelled is pretty embarrassing for a speech-language pathology major to get wrong, especially when listing it as one of their interests!! At least the school wasn't a super top choice for me, and I have gotten in elsewhere, but still...
  12. Wait... but does that mean the person with your last name thought they got in but now found out they were waitlisted??
  13. In my personal statement I told them I was interested in the neurogenic track. It didn't say anything about it in the acceptance letter, so I emailed them. Here's the reply I got: Generally, students apply for the Neurogenic or Cochlear Implant Tracks at the beginning of their second year. However, if you mentioned your desire to do the Neurogenic track in your application letter and are in good standing (grade-wise and in the clinic) you should have no trouble getting in.
  14. I'm going I'm so curious about how many people they're interviewing.
  15. I applied there and I didn't receive an email. I checked my application status and everything is in, but my status says pending. What does your status say?
