  1. Perhaps we should set up a poll here in order to gain a sense for the percentiles? It would be a biased sample but it could be useful.
  2. Hey, I am an Irish postrgrad and will be applying to PhD programs in Geography in December. I took the Revised GRE for the first time today, I had one day to prepare due to my thesis submission being this week also. After reading the sample AW answers, I think that section went well for me. My range scores at the end were: V: 570-670 Q: 650-750 From my reading of forums this seems possibly like a passable level to get into programs if they come out on the higher end. I will be looking for funding as well, I would sincerely appreciate if someone could offer some advice. It seems like there is a great deal of variation in how high people score on the GRE and get accepted to programs and I understand that the application is a complete package but I guess the GRE is the only part I feel a little unfamiliar with. Would I be right in assuming that at least 1200+ is an essential for good programs? Should I take this again or sit on it for the moment? Generally would 750+ in both sections be a requirement for university fellowships? Is there anyone around in Geography programs who would be willing to answer a few questions? Sincere thanks, Dylan
