Sorry I didn't make it clear from the start, but I already have a Masters in Economics. Phds in departments such as HKS and Urban Studies/MIT have high regard for professional experience in the development field, hence my idea of working at WB or UN (I already work at the Brazilian Development Bank, BNDES, which is larger than the WB, only behind the Chinese). A MPP/MIA would be the best step towards that, I think. Also, my masters would be geared towards economics/more academic disciplines, of course.
Hello,
I'm applying to masters programs looking to work for an international organization (World Bank, UN, UNCTAD), then pursue a Phd (HKS, Urban Studies at MIT). I'm applying to SIPA, WWS, IPS/Stanford, SAIS, Ford, Sanford, GSPP. What would be the most suitable programs for these goals? Any other suggestions?
