  1. When I was accepted to my top choice master's program, I absolutely felt this awe at the situation. It didn't feel real given that I knew qualified individuals (whom I ranked as better qualified than myself) that had been rejected. After visiting, I decided I did not care why they wanted me; I wanted to be there. I think you just have to take some time and let it sink in. Visit (if you have time) and be sure the program is everything you have created it to be in your head. Otherwise, get excited! It's your top choice! The process is so stressful and frustrating that it seems only natural to be left a little jarred when it is finally over. Those letters are seriously anti-climactic!
  2. I was accepted to the master's program at George Mason about a week and a half ago. My spring break was last week, so I visited while I had time to make the 10 hour drive. I was told the master's program tends to take 15 (sometimes a few more) people a year. I think I was the first person to visit with an offer to the master's program because most of the current students were surprised by the information that I had been accepted. I'm going to assume that means they're still in the beginning stages of decisions. The same day I was there, a guy that had been admitted to the PhD program was also visiting, so they must be making decisions as well.
  3. Hi there, To the person curious about NCSU: I've basically been waitlisted. The email says they're waiting on some offers that are already out, but I'm considered to be a finalist. Not fully sure of my chances...but they'll notify of the decision in 3-5 weeks. My stats: GRE: 1200 GPA: 3.5 1.5 years research experience/working on honors thesis currently Hope this helps!
