I had no idea, and obviously should have attempted contact sooner, but upon making contact, I got an automatic response that she is away on sabbatical this semester. I know I have seeen her around the department on occasion at special talks, so perhaps she isnt fully away, but she certainly might not be answering emails. So...what do I do now? There is one other professor I could ask, but it would be a much weaker reference.
