    Hm really? Ive heard differently from the one other person I know that applied to UMich. That'll be such a relief though. Dont worry! The one thing I realized about GaTech is that theyre really really disorganized. Try emailing Jagoda about your application status and everything too! I met him at the open house and he seems super helpful! It took about 3 weeks after emailing a prof at gatech to get the unofficial word from them so it just takes time.

    wait, what do you mean the latest will be out by april 15th? Isnt that when they require those admitted to confirm? Does that mean that those that havent heard back yet are rejected? Also, whats the ASO?

    If I dont hear back by April from UMich, theyre gonna have a fun time with me calling daily. And I heard back from the UAV Research Facility directed by Dr. Johnson at GaTech. Its a bit stressful though because UMich is my top choice.

    i know someone else that jsut got into the MS program today too. I'm on the verge of panicking about what this means for the PhD applicants. ::stress::

    I mean, your adviser seems cool with it. I'm sure they can understand finding a topic you find more interesting and you seem to make it clear that its not anything personal against him. Just tell your advisor what you wrote here. Do what you want and what you find most interesting, not something your doing out of a sense of obligation to someone. If that means staying, great! If that means going to the other program, thats great too! Again, your adviser seems very understanding of the situation.

    Wow, the Aero Astro dept said to hear back by the end of May, so hearing back by April sounds pretty early. But I'd like to second your question too, and specifically the whole funding topic.

    btw, were you waitlisted too IITug? Have you heard back on where you are on the waitlist if so?

    I did PhD for everything. I know from talking to UMD and GaTech ppl that they both make sure all their students are funded, so theyre still trying to match up people with professors with funding at the moment so you still have a bit of time with that. And yeah, I got waitlisted at MIT Aero but I'm not really expecting to get off the waitlist. I'm not sure how funding works on the offchance I am off the waitlist anyways.

    I figure this would be a good place to ask. Did anyone else apply to UMich for their Aero program and still havent heard back yet? I know that they sent out some acceptances but wasnt sure what to make of my status and I'm going into panic mode about it :/

    wait, wait, so they tell you AFTER april 15th? Oh god, that'll be wonderful.

    I think that really depends on the school but some may not follow that April 15th deadline, especially if they do rolling admission.

    do they offer funding when they do this? I'm asking because I'm still waiting on mytop choice UMich and im afraid theyre either going to reject me or offer me their MS program w/o funding. lol

    Ah, if thats the case, that makes me feel a lot better. I just hope these committees start to get back to the rest of us by April.

    Same here. I havent heard back officially from 3/4 of my schools, although it seems like I just got in one unofficially yesterday which is such a relief. I'm still waiting on UMich Aero though. What does the silence mean if you know that the programs already had an open house but they tell you that they're still going through applications? Is this an unofficial waitlist or are they just holding onto a already printed rejection letter?

    Yeah. It looks like the open house for the Aero program was last week too. I'm not sure what that means for the rest of us waiting though. I wish they would at least send out rejection letters instead of keeping us waiting

    Who else is waiting to hear back from UMich's aero program? I applied for the Ph.D program but I think I'm either on the unofficial waitlist or theyre just waiting to mail my rejection. The silence is killing me though! It looks like they sent out a bunch of acceptances on valentines day but nothing since. Has anyone heard back since Feb 14th?

    kinda going through the same thing right now. Got a invite from an open house with no mention of acceptance or rejection. This waiting thing is driving me crazy!
