  1. Remark, I'll be attending, as well. I look forward to meeting you. What are your research interests?
  2. I've been an adjunct at a couple of community colleges and they were both strictly semester by semester contracts, partially due to the fact that it's part-time work for instructors who do intend to move on at the drop of a hat. That said, I wouldn't go out of my way to tell them you intend to be there only for the short-term. Though adjunct work as short-term is something, I think, of a tacit understanding, nobody wants to have to hire again if they don't need to. Hope that helps--and good luck with the interview!
  3. I wish, cquin. I'm flat broke, and will be for a while. I've already accepted their offer, however, so please do report back and let me know how it is (I may have to wait until August to find out for myself). Have fun!
  4. Has anyone accepted University of Florida's offer? Is anyone else worried about the stipend amount? Is anyone else planning to visit in the near future?
  5. (And I can't edit it anymore, but it should read: "In the process of notifying." Sorry.)
  6. Just in case anybody was waitlisted, I'll be declining my offer tomorrow. Good luck to everyone!
  7. So that Phd applicants maintain hope: I was just admitted today (Film and Media track). So, they seem to still be in the processing of notifying. Good luck, everyone!
  8. What do y'all think: would it be forward to send Dr. Wegner an e-mail asking about one's application status? I have to respond to a Canadian offer by March 21st, so.... Thoughts?
  9. Surely, they can't be done with acceptance phone calls...right?
  10. Congrats, NoYork! Were you the one who posted on the Results Board?
