The jury is out, at least for MPA-ID. And I am in I received an email, no information on funding yet. Thank you all for your companionship throughout these difficult days and best of luck.

I certainly hope they do take the shortcuts based on GPAs and test scores Kidding aside, I agree with the view that it's not so much of a big deal to hear from them late. We knew when they were going to notify us when we applied, and if having visited the school is so important to making a decision, then there is always the option of visiting before you hear from the school. Of course it becomes a "waste" if you don't get in, but come on, compared to all the time/money we spend in this process, it is not that much of a huge expense.

That breaks my heart. How do you know this? Did you just call?

I'm from Europe too, though I live in the US. This is agonizing.

I think the 20+ is just for the MPA-ID, unfortunately.. But I don't think that means much. HBS accepts ~900 people, ~400 of them in R1, so 20 is a not a huge number. I visited HBS a while ago and I overheard people discussing whether applying to a joint degree would help them differentiate themselves and increase their chances of getting into HBS.. So I would be surprised if all of the 20+ admits are "serious" HKS candidates.. Or at least let's hope so

I applied R2 so still waiting to hear. I did get an interview and it went pretty well, so we'll see. Did you interview? I heard there are 20+ people who got into HBS in R1 and were applicants for the joint degree.

I have been reading silently for the past few days but the suspense is too intense to stay quiet.. Any MPA-ID/MBA candidates out there?
