  1. I got my decision in the mail too, and it was also a rejection. No bother though, I had already decided to go elsewhere...a place that really seemed to want me and gave me more incentive (Fellowship).
  2. He said "decisions were mailed out on Tuesday of last week". So, I'm guessing both acceptances and rejections.
  3. Received word that the letters were sent out snail-mail last Tuesday. I have yet to receive mine...hopefully today. Not sure why it would take 4 days for a letter to get from MA to NC, when I've gotten stuff from TX in less time.
  4. Bahah, I didn't mean it that way. I meant to type "boyfriend's"
  5. This is correspondance through my boyfriends' account: I was not invited to the Cornell interview, but was not outright rejected either. I only received a rejection email with attached PDF on March 5th. No idea if I had been on the "wait-list", though I wasn't holding out any hope anyway. I figured that it wasn't because of my credentials, rather, about my POI not having as much interest in me as others who had contacted him. As far as the others go, no word yet on University of Maryland. I wasn't invited to their interview but the status hasn't been updated online yet. Though the word on the street (the results board) is the department overspent and wasn't able to take literally handful of students anyway. Can anyone else confirm that story? Waiting to hear back from Harvard, and already got accepted to the University of Miami. Looks like the news is slowly but surely trickling out. Good luck to everyone!
  6. My girlfriend (who applied, not me) emailed OEBs' Academic Programs Coordinator, and he said to expect something late February/early March. She tells me that he also said the Open House thing had no "bearing" on your acceptance (ie. it didn't matter if you couldn't go, or if you didn't get invited). The guys' name was Christopher Preheim if you wanted to email him, apparently he was pretty prompt with responses unlike others in the department. Good luck, and hang in there!
