georgetown anyone??? this is getting laaaate!

Mystic-- I hear you!!! My prof said that Gtown was in the processo hiring TWO new socio faculty... so that complicates things. It's the last school that I'm waiting to hear from (sort of-- still waiting on official news about funding from elsewhere which is the determining factor there).... Hurry up!!!

I did sociolx as well...... well, we shall wait and see I suppose!

saw the theoretical georgetown waitlist..... any other georgetown news? I haven't heard anything which i'm assuming = rejection....

oh i just want to know but fear that emailing my POI would be sending me bad news but maybe bad news is better than the anxiety of not knowing!? argh.

huh. I emailed the general humanities admissions at chicago and said another two weeks maybe.... sounds like no one knows! I dont' want to email and 'bother' my POI .... i'm sure i'll hear eventually! don't have high hopes for chicago as it is :/

I think GTown was replacing a sociolx prof. Not sure of the details. They lost Podesva back to Stanford somewhat recently-ish, so perhaps that makes sense. Some news! Please! Soon! hhahahaha

So I heard through a friend that GTown is in the process of hiring a new faculty member and that process had bumped the grad app process back a bit....

@Reddawg, how'd you hear this alleged Chicago-decisions rumor!? Seriously, I'm still waiting to hear from four schools. I was doing well for a few days being all zen and patient buttttttt that's gone haha. Pitt & Gtown seem really late too! What's up with that? Anyone have the scoop?

Happy Monday! I hope some news this week. The only news I've gotten is two rejections, which sucks, but the waiting is worse, I truly think. C'mon mail, c'mon email.......let's go let's go!
