Hi, i wasnt accepted to Michigan PhD, but they told me they would recommend my admission to the MSE program. they didn't say anything about funding and I'm an international student as well. Is it really that expensive? Like 55 thousand per year? They told me that GSI postions were given usually to PhD students and they worked on this around July. According to College of Engineering rules "no fellowships can be awarded to M.S.E. students.". About RA positions, I would have to contact to faculty members directly and "Additionally, there are a variety of "work study" jobs, and other jobs available through the University." Please if anyone knows if you can get a job at least in the second semester. Or is it preferrably to wait to the second year.

Hello, has anyone received a message from University of Michigan, Aerospace Engineering admission. I just got one mail saying "we cannot offer you admission to our PhD program at this time. However, we feel that you are an excellent applicant who could benefit by joining our MSE program. This would give you the opportunity to take advantage of our faculty, research, curriculum, and other resources that would be available to you as an Aerospace Engineering graduate student. Therefore, we will be glad to recommend your admission to the MSE program if you would consider it." Does that mean ... that I'm accepted to the master program??!
