  1. No. I'm saying I think they should have given her the rejection letter before the visitation date. There was one visitation date.
  2. Because the person waited for months to hear a reply from Harvard and didn't get one until after the visitation weekend when she already knew she was rejected...
  3. I don't like that it's taking Harvard so long to get back to the applicants and it's weird to me that they already notified some students who were accepted and rejected, but haven't notified everyone. They had one of the earliest application deadlines so I feel like they should have told everyone by now. I know someone who wasn't notified that they were rejected from Harvard until AFTER they had their visiting weekend. That's just cruel.
  4. Has anyone gotten a response from Harvard yet? Positive or negative?
  5. Well some people on here are ChemE so I was confused hehe. I applied to organic and biological chemistry programs. This Harvard thing is killing me. Someone told me once that they never heard from Harvard until after they had their visiting weekend so they knew they were going to be rejected. That's so cruel! A huge part of me hates Harvard for being so elitist, but I can't help but love them for being so amazing at everything...sigh...
  6. Oh sorry haha. I'm new here so I didn't know. Thank you! I just heard from Columbia two days ago. They sent me an email telling me I had been accepted and included information about the visiting weekends. I applied to their Chemistry PhD program. Did you hear from Harvard or Stanford yet?
  7. I was wondering what schools everyone has heard from so far, with either good or bad news? I've heard from the following: University of Washington, University of Wisconsin, Vanderbilt, UC Berkeley, and Columbia (in that order). I'm still waiting to hear from Harvard (pretty sure it will be a no), Northwestern, and Stanford. I wish these schools would notify us in a more timely manner! I'm trying to plan trips to visit the schools I've been accepted to, but I don't want to schedule them yet in case I do get accepted to Harvard, Stanford, etc. and the visitation weekends overlap. The schools make this process more difficult than it needs to be :/
