Accepted - ETA Germany!!!! I'm so happy I didn't have to wait all day again! Oh my God, so excited!

Yeah but if it was a portion overall don't you think there'd have been at least one acceptance? I mean, there are a good number of us here, right??

The waiting was awful before, but now that they've sent out some rejections I can't focus on anything else! Come on Germany, get your act together! I'm not sure I'll make it till tomorrow! (It has to be at LEAST by tomorrow, right?! Someone found out we should know "Early" this week!)

So Bulgaria acceptance and rejections went out the same time?! Why is Germany so slow?! I'm guessing it's pretty unlikely all of the applications of us waiting got lost in the mail....

How long ago did Bulgaria rejections go out?! I lost track...a few days? Just trying to guess the timeline for Germany since some rejections went out yesterday.

Guess we don't find out today....back to waiting.

But the email we got notifying us as finalists was at like 6:30pm I think......so it makes me think there might still be hope today!?

Same! Except I'm worried mine got lost in the mail! If we're stuck waiting because we got it it will be worth it....but it kind of feels like torture right now, especially if we don't hear until tomorrow or something! Good luck to you though!

So all this talk of trolls, does that mean the German ETA acceptance was fake?! Sorry, I was just having trouble following what was going on..... I was at work all day/evening and then went to a movie without time to think about getting online, but on the way home I checked the forum and nearly had a heart attack when I read someone heard and I hadn't! I planned to try and enjoy my weekend and stay out of here, but checking the thread is just something I do without thinking now, right after I refresh my email and before I check Facebook. Sad, right? Anyway, then I spent five minutes double checking my email and looking through my spam to make sure it didn't get lost. But, if it's real, congratulations! Let's hope more of us join you on Monday (if it is real and tons of us haven't heard yet it can't be that bad right?! Because statistically at least some of us should win, right!?!) If, as I suspect, the "acceptance" was fake, then I'm slightly annoyed, but honestly mostly relieved!

Yeah, let's hope it is Monday! Oh, but it's scarier now that there's kind of a deadline! I mean, we should expect to know by Wednesday at the latest, right?!?! Ahhh!!

Wasn't last year like April 1st or something? I think 2010 was March 23rd....

Okay I can't remember if we know this or not.....does that mean the late date for Germany this year was unusually late? Or about the same as it usually is? Because last year notification went out to ETAs the 1st of April, and the year before a week sooner than that. If the second stage is around the same time as usual then it shouldn't really change things, but if the due date for our PAD info was later than the past two years, I guess Germany ETA hopefuls should relax at least until the first or second week of April

So it seems like there are no new notifications today yet?! That's so disappointing!!

I had that feeling yesterday about today and no such luck! Obviously I'd rather it be Thursday than Friday or later, but I work all day Thursday and if that's what we're counting on it's going to be a miserable day for me! I'm crossing my fingers for tomorrow or Wednesday!!

I've had a feeling all day that tomorrow will be the day for Germany ETAs! Of course now that I announce it it won't come true, but I just thought I'd share my optimism! Let's hope for good news by the end of the week at least!!

My cover letter is actually a little short of a page. I didn't translate it exactly and said everything I wanted to in about 3/4 of a page. So we can't express mail. Is it possible to track something if it's just through regular mail? Or is priority okay? I just keep going back and forth about how to do it, and how to send it exactly. Right now I have each set of essays paperclipped to an application form ready to go in an envelope and in the mail first thing tomorrow.....

I was just leaving it blank. I have lived at home the past two years so I have no other address anyway. What did you do about the passport photo? Did you just use one the same size, or actually make a copy of your passport and cut out the photo? I was hesitant about that because there are designs and stuff across the passport photo. I was planning on just taking a new photo and printing in the same size as a passport one......What do you think?

Sorry to turn the conversation back to Germany ETAs, but there are just so many questions! So once we get everything for the PAD app together how does everyone plan to mail it? We need three copies of each. Big manila envelope? Separate envelopes? Staple each set together and put in the same envelope? Paperclips?! Does it even matter? I've got my essays and really the hard part done, but its the simple stuff I'm worrying about now! Is there somewhere that tells us specifics I just haven't seen, or are we just guessing? Suggestions would be great.....thanks!

Hey, I'm new! Recommended ETA Germany So question, what are the rest of the Germany eta hopefuls thinking in terms of how soon to get our PAD app in the mail. On one hand I think the sooner the better.....on the other I figure by the deadline is good enough......thoughts?
