Alternates, don't give up hope yet!!! I was just notified that there is another opening for an ETA in Mexico. I can't believe it! Hang in there!!! Each and every one of you still have a chance. Best of luck to all!

I received a letter today indicating that I am an alternate. I applied for an ETA to Mexico. The letter came in a business-sized white envelope from the IIE. It was posmarked March 26th. I also have an AL-1 at the bottom of my letter. Thanks for all the support and good luck to the rest of you who are still waiting.

For anyone who is awaiting notification from Fulbright about Mexico's ETAs, I called the Fulbright office today and inquired if Mexico had made its final decision. The person at the office told me that Mexico had not made its final decision yet, and she did not expect a decision for a while. Just thought I'd share this information since I'm sure there is someone else out there who is persistently checking the mail each day like me.
