  1. Just got my Email this Afternoon, accepted. Waiting on funding from Ford but now need to somehow decide between GPPI, Harris, Ford, GWU, and UMD. lot to think about in the next 4 weeks. but for March Madness Im decided, Go Hoyas!
  2. I talked to a Harris Professor last night. He suggested taking Matrix Algebra over the summer if you wanted to progress to the more advanced Econometrics classes. Either way, Ill have to force myself to study wicked hard this summer to brush up at on the calculus and Stat I haven't used since undergrad. Thanks to the above poster for the advice on Harris.
  3. Didnt know that Ford had a MPP/MAecon degree, Ill have to investigate that if accepted. Has anyone know anything about the experience doing a MPP/ Masters Econ Dual Degree at Georgetown? I'm into GPPI but havent heard back from the Economics Department yet.
  4. Great question, looking forward to seeing the responses. I've got nothing to add, though I'd also be interested in GPPI's quant reputation along with Harris'
  5. Just got into UMaryland (MPP), with enough financial aid to make it only $10,000 a year, ($15k total after applying my AmeriCorps Award) plus a $7k stipend...already accepted to Chicago, GPPI, and GWU with varying degrees of funding but enough $$ to make me think hard about UMD as well.
  6. Denied by Goldman (probably my original first choice), got into Harris with 10k a year. Anybody have thoughts on Harris School vs. Gtown (got 20k) vs GWU (unknown funding, but already 15k cheaper tuition) for Public Policy with a focus on economic issues? Congratulations to all the admits
  7. got my letter day, $20,000. I believe (hope) thats renewable second year
  8. I "preliminarily" accepted to GPPI on Febuary 3rd, waiting for the results of my scholarship application. I applied for a dual degree with a Masters in Economics but havent heard back from Econ yet. (although Public Policy is my primary interest, so still stoked). Did anyone else apply for a dual MPP/M. Econ?
