I love to read, cook, and be outdoors. Haven't been able to read much because my mind is racing. But cooking and getting outside have been lifesavers, and so refreshing!

Just got good new from Maryland! Can't believe that I got accepted there, really. I am stoked, but my decision is going to be a hard one. However, they were the first school that didn't make mention of any funding in the email. Just, "more info to follow." Do you guys know if this is necessarily bad or if sometimes it just means they haven't decided yet? Accepted: UCI, Penn State, U Maryland Waiting: Brown, Penn, U Washington, Johns Hopkins

Honestly probably Penn State. They match my interests almost perfectly, their funding package is competitive and their soc/demog program is excellent! How about you?

Today I had my phone call with Penn State to discuss the "status of my application" and it was an acceptance! So excited! Also, SO interested to hear something from the other five schools I applied to though. Waiting: Brown, UPenn, UWashington, Johns Hopkins, UMaryland Accepted: Penn State, UCI

Got into UCI yesterday! First school to be accepted to so pretty stoked. (5 yrs full funding through a teaching assistantship)

Also, has anyone heard of anyone getting acceptances from Brown or Johns Hopkins yet? Not sure when to expect word from those schools.... Mind if I wait to till after the phone call? don't want to jinx myself! And I'm not even superstitious but this process is bringing out the most paranoid person haha. The silence has been killing me. I finally got an email from one of my top school asking to set up a phone call to discuss the "status of my app". The phone call is two days away. So, more silence! And I have no idea what to expect in the phone call. I do feel some relief to have contact from a school though! Anyone gotten an email like this before?
