Parsons is contacting waitlisted persons this week. Just got an email.

I am going to MICA's Mt Royal program. Took a lot of back and forth. Super excited.

Is anyone going to MICA's accepted student day on Saturday?

Just go the MICA call as well. Also got a wait list letter from Parson's yesterday. Time to make a decision.

Just accepted to Mass Art's SIM program! Via email.

I just got an email from the Photographic and Electronic Media Department at MICA. It basically states that they are still in the process of deciding.

Thanks for all the kind words and support. I hope there were more calls and acceptance letters today and more coming over the next few weeks.

Frances was out sick when I interviewed. I am planning to meet with her before I make my decision. I am also waiting for funding info from VCU. I am still trying to discern what type of program is best for me.

I had an interview a week ago, no word yet.

Because I track views on Vimeo, I know that SVA just looked at my portfolio for the first time yesterday. So they are moving forward with reviewing Photo & Video applications.

I had a similar experience to Ifwd. At a minimum I would wear clean pants and a shirt with a collar. Error on the side of nicer. Most importantly dress like yourself and make sure you feel comfortable.

@Mindfields88 I know some people who have had great experiences in a post bac. It is in my mind an issue of medium. If you need access to a foundry, arch welders, intaglio gear, or any number of expensive tools to complete your work then it makes sense. If you can make art in your kitchen or bedroom then do that. See how being outside of the school environment effects you and your work. Even if you love foundry and other dangerous things, you might benefit from working with the limitations of a home studio. I know people who got full rides for MFAs with work made with sculpey and kitchen table wood block printing.

The grad assistant said he'd have a schedule today.

Mt Royal. The discussion was almost exclusively about my artwork. The time flew by.
