I just got accepted off the wait list at UCLA. It was my only admittance this year, but was also my first choice. I feel like crying with happiness that this process is finally over! There IS hope. Hang in there, folks.

I've been following this thread for all eternity (aka when I found out I was waitlisted at UCLA). I probably should have spoken up sooner to commiserate, but while lurking I've found all of your musings very helpful. Like so many of you folks, my waitlist is my only option. Blah. Thunderpaws, I feel you on the Easter thing. Talking about this stuff with family sucks, especially when one of my cousins just got a tenure track position at an Ivy and I'm still struggling to get accepted period. Just wanted to wish you all the best during our (hopefully!!) last week of waiting.
