  1. I'm going for Health Promotion, Education, and Behavior but i'm not too sure I will be attending anymore due to funding.
  2. I am planning on attending Univeristy of South Carolina for a MPH in the fall but my school has yet to tell me how much the cost of attendance is and I would have to move down there in about 3 weeks for orientation/school. From looking at the website I can tell that with the Stafford loan i'd be at least $2,500 short in tuition. The school cost roughtly $12,000 per semester. I applied for a Grad Plus loan and was denied (crazy! I always pay my bills on time! and my credit score is okay) so I am struggling to figure out first how much I need for school and then figuring out where it will come from. The school doesn't guaranteed GAs to anybody and they won't even discuss them with me until orientation (after i've traveled 700+ miles to get to the school) I just feel like I'm left in the dark and don't know what to do! Has anyone else been in this situation? Is this normal for grad school? What would you recommend?
  3. Hey! So i'm chugging along writing my SOP and I have come to the point where I need to address some of the horrible grades on my transcript. I stuck through a Biochemistry major thinking that it was best to just finish it out when in all actuality i was killing my GPA.I finished all the coursework for the Biochemistry degree but I could not pass the comprehensive exam. With one try left at the exam I decided to transfer schools and finish up with a bachelors in general studies. And in turn I also got a significantly better GPA from that year. But I have no clue how to vocalize that admission committees without it seeming like I am a quitter. because I actually just realized that even if i did pass my comprehensive exam i had slim to none chances of getting into grad school with a 2.7 HELP!! any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
