  1. I'm doing okay, I guess. I have been waitlisted by my top choice, and that is a little disappointing. I interviewed with them, and things sounded really promising. I hope April 15th comes quickly.
  2. Thanks for the response! I've just been worried that they haven't sent me the decision because they are choosing all of the people they want to admit, and then they are going to reject the rest (me!).
  3. Well, it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me, but my situation may different from yours. I want to teach in my future career, so a TA opportunity would be a welcome one for me. I think if the school has a better fit, and you consider it to be a better school in general, you should go there and try to get an RA position in the future. I'm not really sure how that works in programs like yours, but surely you will have research opportunities at that school. Good luck either way!
  4. Okay, I had an interview with my top choice on 2/15. I think the interview went very well, but it was a phone interview, and it is so hard to judge those things. Anyway, my top choice has already sent out at least one rejection and one acceptance (according to the survey), but I haven't heard back yet. I e-mailed them last week to see if all decisions had been made, and I was told that decisions were being made, and that they would finish up this week. I guess it is good that they haven't rejected me yet, but I am just not sure what to think. Should I be worried? Thanks for your help, guys and girls!
  5. Well, I have been applying for librarian jobs (my field is information science), and I have had several interviews.I have a few more interviews lined up. Keeping my fingers crossed for either opportunity!
  6. I absolutely will not go if I am not funded. I want to get my PhD, but I simply cannot afford to pay for it myself. Well, I could, but the costs would outweigh the benefits.
  7. I applied to three schools, and I have interviewed with two of them. I was rejected by the one that didn't interview me. I haven't heard back from either of the schools that I interviewed with, but I was told by one of the schools that I would hear something at the end of February/beginning of March.
