  1. MCRM, see here I think: https://apply.environment.yale.edu/apply/ That's all i have.
  2. omgggggggg nothing yet, I cannot get ANY work done.
  3. Thanks MCRM and kld0608 for the super useful info. And thanks to everyone else for hanging out here -- it has definitely made the waiting easier. This has to be by far the most active environmental masters message thread in the history of time, haha.
  4. MCRM, if you could ask what day FES'll let us know by, that would be great. I'm dying over here. THANK YOU
  5. choosing a school is going to be tough. All these enviro schools have many pros on the pro-con list. What'll make it even harder is the scarcity of comparisons of the various programs. If anyone knows of some good info that hasn't already been shared, maybe you could share it here? thank you!
  6. also got an email from the coordinator at SNRE & an email about a farmhouse on a golf course in/near Ann Arbor where rent is free if you work on the grounds - haha, awesome.
  7. @LHL, thanks for the info. Good to hear your take on alumni networks, & I'm definitely with you on the weather
  8. hey LHL, I'm thinking about finding time and $ to get to a couple of the student's days, maybe. But I also think that I'll just go to Duke if I don't get into Yale. Duke seems to have the 2nd best reputation, Durham is only getting better these days (I hear!), and they are the only ones that have offered funding -- so what's the point of flying around (time, $$, carbon emissions)?
  9. cunninlynguist and MGrubs, congrats! tiredwaiting, sorry to hear about Duke. Fingers crossed for U-M for you. For yale, I also did both the diversity statement and the writing sample. I was up there at the open house in Dec and they said they weren't really sure how much weight they were going to place on these components, or if they would even really consider them seriously at all - this year's the first year they're part of the app, i think. Still, I figured covering all bases would be good. Does anyone who applied to UCSB have any idea when we hear from Bren? Hang in there, all!!!
  10. I just heard back yes from U-M... anyone else? No financial aid, but I'm international and they warned on the website that they aren''t really too nice to us out of USAers in terms of $$. I think there are options to apply for aid after acceptance though... I have some friends in Yale FES and they said we aren't likely to hear earlier than a couple weeks into march bcs of the time it takes to put together the financial aid packages. Yale's my first choice, how about you guys? Good luck!
  11. Hi all! i have applied all those typical MEM-type programs at Yale, UCSB, U-M, Duke, and also environmental change management at Oxford. So far, I've only heard from Duke - yes. They were fast! I submitted on the very last day and heard back 2 weeks later. If only the other schoools were as quick. Anyone get news from any of these others yet?
