Hey! I will also be attending next Fall. I will join the College of Education for a PhD in Language and Literacy. I will probably move there by late May, as I have applied to the Summer Pre-Doctoral Institute - I expect to attend both June and July. I am very excited about this! Would love to meet others who have chosen UIUC!

I see I am not the only one waiting on Vandy. No acceptance, but no rejection either, not even wait listed. I called the Graduate Admissions office and they were pretty helpless. I have a very generous funding offer at UIUC (my second choice) and acceptances at UA, UC-Denver, UTSA. I think UIUC will be. Im pretty dissapointed about Vanderbilt tho

Hey! I will also be at UIUC this weekend for a visit. I will be joining the COE PhD Program in C&I - I am super excited! I am well, um, older (34) and I would like to rent a house so I can take my dogs with me. I am looking for somewhere quiet, but close to a bus line. I do have a car, but I've read that is a pain / not really cost-effective to take it to campus. Can someone recommend a quiet, nice area to rent a house?
