Thanks! I orginally said no to applying again, but after a few days of thinking about it, I still really want to further my study of history. I think I might go for the library science degree, hopefully get a good GPA there, retake the GREs, and try again in a few years.

Thanks for the encouragement I was suprised at my response,last time I couldn't wait to check. Alas, I was right. I was rejected.

This is my second year going through the grad school application process. This time I only applied to one master's library science program and a PhD history program at Washington University in St. Louis. I got in to the library science program but my dream for a while has been to get my doctorate in history. I got an e-mail from the school yesterday telling me that a decision has been made. I'm afraid to look. Based on the results search, the only people who got a response from the PhD program there yesterday were rejected. It was a long shot since even though I have a publication and a MA already in history I have lower GPA/GRE scores. So most likely I was rejected as well. I'm afraid to look because I'll have to give up a dream I had because I don't want to do the whole application thing for a third time. Does this make any sense?
