I have been looking at Craigslist for housing. There seem to be tons of rooms available within a 20-minute walking vicinity of campus. They are all quite reasonable -- within the $400-$700 a month range.
I graduated with a B.A. from Kwantlen last year. Currently working full time at a law firm and studying my LL.B. part-time through the University of London. Will start M.A. studies at UVic in September and keeping poking away at the LL.B.
Waitlisted by UBC today.
I have already accepted UVic's offer -- that was my first choice from the beginning, although Queen's was tempting and their offer was generous. I am into theory, mostly Rawls and liberalism.
I completed agree with the sentiment here re: statement. I have no expectation of getting accepted at UBC because of the limited scope of their applications.
Just saw this. Very cool. I'm doing my LL.B. right now through the University of London's international programs. So in September I will also be a grad/law student. With the job market being what it is, arming yourself with both an M.A. and a law degree is really an advantage, I suspect. It also opens up a lot more opportunities for doctoral programs.
