  1. Keep in mind that Jonathan Brown, probably the biggest name in your field at NYU, is starting to scale back his teaching.
  2. Not to break up this whole STEM party, but I'm going to be studying something infinitely more practical: Art & Archaeology. I've applied to live in the Graduate College; I figure that I can always move into one of the apartments in a later year, and it will be nice to be able to meet people and have a cheap bar within stumbling distance. With regard to meal plans, the cost does seem a bit ridiculous at first glance. However, it all seems more reasonable when you factor in the five free breakfasts each week.
  3. I was contacted a few days ago by email to come in for an interview next week.
  4. It is, of course, a very dangerous and life-threatening thing to ignore the cannon.
  5. Jonathan Brown at NYU teaches a seminar on the History of Collecting in the Gilded Age, which is closely integrated with the Center for the History of Collecting at the Frick.
