didn't get in, notified via website. oh well, NYU was my top choice anyway.

they've updated the "newly admitted students" page at some point this morning to reflect the new demographics of the class this year. 512 out of 1200 admitted. http://www.journalism.columbia.edu/page/155-newly-admitted-students/493

I applied to NYU (magazine) and Columbia. Heard back from NYU yesterday - phone call from director and followup email. I had previously been in touch with her by phone and email as she had contacted me earlier in the month. Also found out I got a scholarship of a little more than 1/3 of the tuition, which I am very excited about. Possibly because I'm an international student? (Canadian). Now waiting to hear back from Columbia.

recently received personal email from head of magazine program at nyu, referred to as one of "our most promising applicants" and she offered to answer any questions about the program i might have. anyone else receive one of these/know what it means
