Hi Mirror_logic, I might add to your list Penn Design MFA. I currently attend and from what you mention in your desires/concerns you might be really satisfied here. You seek a Very Interdisciplinary program, major research university and opportunity to teach. This is your place. The program is rigorous and the professors are incredible smart and talented. 3 of them are in the Whitney Biennial this coming year. Hello_lauren, I'm a first year student at penn and would highly recommend the program. The faculty are diverse, supportive and really sharp. If you're looking to get a lot of feedback about your work, focus in your studio while taking some great classes, this is the place. And then you have the rest of the university thats open to you to take classes, which is awesome. It's an interdisciplinary program so the opportunity to get training in different media is more than available. With that said, if you're dedicated to one medium that is also seems to fine. My classmates are great and exploring many different ideas. Do you have specific questions or do you know what you're looking for? I wrote to UNC yesterday and received this: "Our recommendations are being transmitted to the Graduate School this week. Notices should go to applicants later this week or early next." I was getting inpatient so I just had to find something out. Good luck!

Rutgers info: A friend just got a letter today (in the mail) for acceptance to Rutgers in Visual Arts. I guess they're still sending them out. I didn't apply there but I thought people who did would appreciate the update.

I join the ranks of Hunter rejects. But was finally notified(snail mail, today) by UT Austin that I'm on their "Short Wait List". Does any have experience being on a wait list and then getting in?
