  1. I'm actually having the same dilemma- one of my programs is only a year long, which I see as sort of a disadvantage because my whole plan was to apply to Ph.D. programs during my second year of my master's. In a one-year program, I would have to take a year off in between, because there's no way that I would be ready to apply to doctoral programs this fall. However, my boyfriend thinks that this is advantageous for me, because I'll get the school part done in a year and have the second year to get some real-world work experience. I'm still trying to make up my mind...
  2. I still haven't heard anything, but I get the impression that for master's programs, I should expect to wait at least a week or two more for the first few letters to start rolling in. (Side note: Why do my schools still rely on postal mail?!) I'm going absolutely nuts and getting more and more pessimistic as the time passes, even though it makes sense that I haven't heard yet. I get anxious every time I come home and have to check the mail, and I get legitimately angry every time I get a letter from Comcast or Aetna or anything other than any of my grad schools. I'm very confident in my application, but I know that there are a ton of other great contenders out there. I figure that as a great applicant, I have to get in somewhere out of seven schools, but it doesn't ease my worries...
