  1. in the admission package they send us you can also find some information on housing. i just gonna come to geneva in august and just couchsurf until i find a nice plays. looking for something from afar is always difficult and never turned out to be a good option (at least for me), so i prefer to get a feeling for the town first before a decide on where to live. also, living in a proper flatshare has the advantage that you also get to know people from outside heid, also a nice thing i think
  2. the housing offered by heid is quite expensive, i think you should be able to find a place in town for around 400franc. also, if you want to learn french, the heid housing isn't the best option as you will live with a lot of internationals and not too many francophones
  3. another question: has anyone so far received the admission package the institute sent out by proper mail. they said i had to update my current mailing adress by march 5. so i assume the sent everything out last week.
  4. I am just waitlisted, so I assume its for a full scholarship. Interesting question is if the waitlisting is done on three seperate tracks (full, part, tuition), with those tracks being mutually exclusive, or if people waitlisted for full scholarships can also hope to get a partial or tuition scholarship instead. @rox87: I think chances are quite small, so I am planning without funding. The joy if receiving funding well be even greater when not expected
  5. I am also wait-listed for the scholarship. In case anyone of you decides to turn the offer down, i'd be more than happy to get the funding instead;)
  6. accepted. Master in Political Science/IR. gonna go for sure, its the best program in europe i think still waiting for funding good luck to everyone else
  7. I applied for the january deadline, same story, one of my referees was too late for october. So if i got it right, early applications received their answers this week? I applied for the IR/Political Science Master. I didn't know that it is possible so switch from MIA to the IR/Pol science track. It looks like Geneva only takes 20 IR/Pol Science applicants, but way more MIA people, so I guess the latter one is more competetive to get in to. I have quite a good degree and a high GPA with cum laude honours, but not a lot of experience (only one internship). My trump is I worked as a research assistant for a professor who recently published some articles together with one of the profs from Geneva, so i pretty much speculate that that'll get me in somehow... ...it seems so long unti end march and my feet are getting itchy
