I just got in off the waitlist! SO excited!

I've called admissions a few times, and they said that they hadn't really heard from many of the accepted students about if they would attend or not. They generally get most responses during the first 2 weeks of April, so if you get in off the waitlist it should be during the last 2 weeks of April. Here's to hoping there's only one more week of waiting!

Has anyone on the waitlist heard anything about any movement? Just curious if anyone has gotten in off of it yet!

Well, I got a reply but it really didn't say much!: "The waitlist is constantly changing and I'm actually not sure what the exact number is at this moment, but it is unranked and rolling"

I emailed the office today asking about the waitlist for CFS- I'll let you know when I hear back, they are probably similar!

I'm so sorry to hear this I could tell how passionate you were about this, and I was definitely rooting for you!

I've decided that I am definitely moving to the Bay area anyway for personal and professional reasons, so I think that I will apply again to Berkeley. I feel like I have learned a lot that could help me for next time just by reading these forums and looking more into the school (plus I'll have one year's more experience!). I wasn't sure if Berkeley was my first choice when I applied, so I know that didn't shine through on my application. Now it is, so I will stay on the waitlist until August if necessary (I talked to admissions and they said someone dropped out early August last year and a waitlister got in then) and apply again if not accepted.

Haha I completely understand that feeling! I was just thinking back to the CFS admittee who was wondering if they should go to Columbia of Berkeley. I personally have to vote Columbia! Rjose- I would call admissions and ask about the MSW/PhD thing, maybe there is still hope!

I just got an email that I got waitlisted. At least it is better than denied! They said there is about a 30% chance of getting in off the waitlist. I'm in CFS, and this is my top choice so I let them know that I definitely want to stay on the waitlist!! If anyone is CFS and decides to not go- please let them know sooner rather than later! After all this tough waiting, looks like I just need to wait some more- but hopefully it'll be worth it! Congrats again to all who got in, and I hope to see you next year! P.S. I'm out of state

I'm CFS as well, and I got an email response that decisions are going out this week and next week, so there is still time! The wait is really the worst!

Same worry here too! I know they give preference to in-staters; maybe it's just that their acceptances were on the top of pile and we'll be hearing soon? Trying to stay optimistic!!

Just a warning- it took me 3 days to hear back from them after I emailed asking for a CFS decision date (which they only gave me a vague answer anyway!). I hope you have better luck than I do!

Those sound like logical reasons. I mentioned in my email (sent Tuesday) that I was applying to CFS, so it could be that you will still hear this week!

I just got this response to my email asking when we would hear: Application decisions will be going out this week and next. We normally send them out by concentration. Please feel free to contact us again if you have any other questions! So maybe we won't be hearing from them tomorrow....

Thanks Mapletree! I emailed too but hadn't gotten a response. You probably had a more legitimate reason that I do (e.g. going crazy from the wait!) Also- Berkeley is definitely my first choice- if I get in, I am going

CFS- no one has posted any results for this concentration, but then only 3 people have posted that they have heard anything that I've seen...

Any updates?

I saw on the results survey that two people had received rejections from the PhD program, but that's the only news I've heard
