on fastlane site: Due to the complexity of the current budget situation, the 2009 GRFP awards will be announced in installments based on fields of study and other factors. The first installment is now available on FastLane. Awardees, as well as Applicants not recommended for funding, have been notified by email. Recipients of Honorable Mention and any additional Fellowship award offers will be forthcoming. Applicant ratings sheets will be available after all award announcements have been made. We thank you for your patience. anyone get a rejection email yet?

only awards offered is listed - it says HMs haven't been finalized. i don't know how to do screenshot either but i swear it works...

to me the "early april" message is still there, but the "downtime" message is gone. maybe they initially deleted the wrong announcement and then fixed it. edit: nevermind you all noticed that already, hah

mine just say when they were received which was 9/22/2009 and 9/23/2009... it's said that since i submitted my application. sometimes schools take a really long time to send transcripts though. i don't know that anyone other than yourself can request an official transcript from your university, so i'm not sure that nsf would be "allowed" to request one without your permission...

are people still checking their fastlane accounts intermittently? if so, has anything changed? (nothing has changed on mine at this point.)

i didn't learn anything exciting about notification dates when i called today, but i did find out that if you were determined to be ineligible you would have been notified of that already. so, if you haven't heard anything about being ineligible for the award, you must have passed that test! phew.

but nobody's gotten it this year yet (right?) so how would that work?

these things are both administered by the same organization, right? i mean the notifications? maybe they just suck at websites...

i really hope so... wish i wouldn't have seen all this before going to bed! no sleep tonight, that's for sure... i agree with caezar too... it seems weird that they wouldn't post it here. i'm hoping they just think it's funny to watch us all freak out. (since neuroticism is so funny.)

if you try to view the 2008 awards offered, it won't load it... at least that's what i'm getting.

mine still says "welcome applicants" when i log in. does anyone's say "welcome fellows"?

it made me change my password about a month ago. i don't think it's any sort of indicator of anything at all.

i called today too and the lady said that they might come out sometime this week or next week, but that they haven't gotten the list from NSF yet so they're not really sure. she said in the past, fastlane has "jumped the gun" and that applicants could see if they were awarded a fellowship or not via fastlane before emails actually went out.
