mstea, you've heard back from Boston University?

Has anyone been able to figure this out without going into massive amounts of debt. Are there any scholarships/fellowships out there for grad students in general and MSW students in particular?

I'm not sure yet. I really love their program but was not offered a scholarship that fully covers tuition.

When it comes to ivy league social work programs, I only ever hear people talk about Columbia. Does anyone know what kind of reputation UPenn has?

I would LOVE to go but I was only offered $18,000. The reality of debt is beginning to hit me...

Is anyone going to UPenn? I really love the curriculum but haven't been able to find very much about the MSW program in general besides an article focusing on student frustrations with field placements.

Hi all, I am thinking about deferring my admittance into an MSW program for a year because I am finishing up an MDiv program. After 3 years of grad school a break would be welcome. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knew how this would affect financial aid. I am assuming you would lose the financial aid you were offered from an institution but I am curious to see if there was a possibility that you might get a higher offer the next year from starting out earlier in the cycle. Any thoughts? Thanks
