Last time I applied to clinical psych PhD programs, all my interview notices arrived on February 1st. So when my phone rang, I knew it was good news. But I wasn't expecting an ACCEPTANCE from Minnesota! That's right! My potential advisor called me with an unofficial acceptance, details to follow. Minnesota doesn't do in-person interviews, so some people were able to make their decisions super-early. So exciting! I told him I couldn't make a decision yet, and he understood. How awesome though, to have that in the bank as I continue to wait it out on my other schools!

Here are my crazy 13, ordered by deadline: Virginia, WashU, Florida, Minnesota, Arizona, Oregon, Harvard, Illinois-Chicago, Vanderbilt, SUNY Stony Brook, Wisconsin, Delaware, and Case Western. I'd say it's way too early to have Officially Heard; I've only gotten responses from specific professors, not programs. I applied two years ago (with much crappier credentials) and Officially Heard from a few programs who wanted interviews. They all called on February 1st. So now's the time to change your voicemail to something professional

I have! I'm doing my last application tonight. We didn't apply to any of the same schools, though. I've heard from a few professors (from programs with 12/1 or 12/15 deadlines) who want to know more about me or chat on the phone, but nothing official yet!
