Interesting. I had a hunch those who hadn't heard back were people who applied for open awards. I wonder if Magiaepasta, et al will also be open award applicants. No word from Rachel H. But I feel a little less manic, that's for sure.
I applied for an open award in Gender Studies/Women's Studies (hence the screen name). My affiliates are the Black Cultural Archive and SOAS - University of London, and I intend to research Black British women's groups/feminist movements while taking research methods courses towards a PhD. I've already been accepted to the PhD program in Gender Studies, but obviously, funding is key. I'm also a candidate for funding through the school, but won't hear back about that until the end of May. This whole process is agonizing, but I'm not ready to give up hope yet, and you don't give up either! Ideally, we'll hear back before the end of the week as I'd like to spend the weekend either celebrating or mourning. I don't think I can carry this bundle of emotions into next week.
Good luck w/ your application; sounds promising to me. http://forum.thegradcafe.com/uploads/emoticons/default_smile.png' alt=':)'> I'll post an update if/when I hear back from IIE.
