  1. The email doesn't say anything about "accepting" per se. It says to notify IIE if you decide at any point to not accept the award. "In the meantime, be aware that this award is contingent upon your obtaining: medical clearance; a bachelor's degree, if graduating this year; official research clearance from the host country, where applicable; and required visas." I'm not sure if this is for all countries or if some countries require an official yes/no response.
  2. I got it! Full grant to the Netherlands! I'm crying over a bowl of orange chicken at Panda Express lol. Fingers crossed for the alternates..I hope you both hear soon. Hang in there:-)
  3. Wow. That sounds fantastic. I've proposed to do a 9 month MSc in Conflict Resolution and Governance at the University of Amsterdam. My focus (broadly) involves women in post-conflict zones as they recover from human rights abuses.
  4. Hi! I'm a full. I didn't think that they have ETA for NL. What's your proposal about?
  5. It's wonderful to hear everyone's great news. I'm (im)patiently waiting to hear from the Netherlands. Based on the last 4 year's notification dates, I'm estimating April 10th. Just found out this am that my back-up school funding fell through. Really hard to keep my Fulbright hopes up in light if this devastating news.
  6. jeb266-Well, I called exactly at 9am EST, briefly introduced myself (name, school, country) and why I was calling. Without hesitation or any trivial "niceties," she simply said, "Mid to Late April." Those were literally her only words. I don't know her personally (and how she usually is on the phone), but based on my general impression she seemed annoyed. But then again I'm just generalizing based on my experience with talking on phones these last twenty-odd years:-)
  7. Hi everyone..long time lurker, first time poster:-) I am a finalist to the Netherlands. I just had the nerve to call Rachel Holskin at IIE and she confirmed that we won't be notified until mid to late April. I was on the website of the Netherland America Foundation yesterday and I got butterflies in my stomach when I read that notifications will be done in March. However, another part of that same website said mid-April. I figured that it was best to check for sure as I didn't want to sprain my thumb by hitting the email re-load button on my phone ten thousand times in the next few days:-) Congrats to everyone who has been accepted and my heart goes out to those who have received unfortunate news. For the rest of us, best of luck in retaining your sanity. Not knowing is really killing me!
