I am sorry if I worried anyone. I received an email from the program coordinator at about 7pm last night. However, the email was not a form letter and was specifically sent in response to my call on Wednesday. So all of you waiting out there do not fear! I was wait listed for the program. Since it is clear I would not receive funding, this is actually a blessing even though it is a disappointment. As I said in my earlier post it would have been a tough decision to turn down the dual degree even with other options on the table. I'm off to another ivy that offered me support as well as the potential for a ta position. All the best to everyone as you find your perfect fit (and congratulations O!).

That was "guaranteed", obviously. My cell phone and I have issues.

I just spoke with the office and apparently decisions (or at least some of them) should be sent out Friday. This is good news for those of us with response deadlines this weekend. Unfortunately, it sounds like there will not be any funding or fellowship (FLAS) information available. Apparently, there is an "early review" option which can be requested by the applicant. I wish I had known about that in order to avoid the situation I will be in if I am accepted. It will be tough to choose between guranteed funding in another program and the columbia/lse dream course. Anyway, I hope this was helpful for all you future applicants out there!
