Just got promoted! Back in May I was made an alternate for a full grant to Zambia, and two months later I get the good news. Better late than never I guess! Wow! So excited!

It was a full grant.

No! I know Jermaine said end of the month, but did he really mean end of the month (Monday). I am convinced we'll hear this week. I actually bet we'll hear Thursday because that is when I start my comprehensive exam, and the world's cosmic energy is willing me to be distracted in some way. Of course my exam lasts until next Tuesday so I guess with the previous logic we could hear any one of those days. This forum has been helpful and supportive during this waiting process. Yeah I'm glad you called, but I don't understand "clearance". I'm guessing that means Fulbright hasn't yet OK'd the funding for the selected candidates. Wonder why that's taking so long - I thought Jermaine got the selected candidates a while back (maybe it was only last week, just feels like forever).

I was really hoping today was to day for sub-sahara. Bummer!
