  1. Interested to hear feedback on UCSD's new MPP program at IRPS (now GPS.) Has more of a comparative bent to domestic policy issues. Also seems to not have a foreign language requirement like the MPIA program has. It seems similar to other programs I'm looking to apply to: USC Price & UCLA Luskin. As I am an alum of UCSD from the Political Science Dept, just really intrigued with this new Master of Public Policy program at IRPS. Thanks
  2. I get that feeling too about a lack of program coordinator for MAPEB. Interesting enough, had a friend who applied for a PhD program in the same department but for political theory....he never got word back of an admission decision. It was only later he found out that they were missing couple items in his application and failed to inform him in a timely manner. So take that for what it's worth
  3. I was wondering if anyone has applied or is familiar with Claremont's Public Policy program...particularly it's MAPEB program. It's part of the bigger Social Science Policy School at CGU. Not much info except for on their rather website. Couple posts on grad cafe years ago for those looking for alternatives to MSF or ID programs. Seems like an MBA alternative for its blending of government private & public sector emphasis.Sent admissions director an inquiry email & had not received any feedback yet. Any thoughts?
  4. Not much discussion about USC & UCLA because of the prevalence of the ID & FP students. May have some leg up with Latin America or Pacific Rim work over the rest. BUT...these are great schools if you want to focus on domestic policy
  5. Rankings are good start in your research...but...Where do you want end up working after grad school? For example, USC Price is ranked top 5 in US News, great school for California....but you'd have to research how strong the Trojan network is if you'd want positions in DC or NYC.
  6. Last I checked, somebody posted Nike topics aplenty on their forums
