  1. I really appreciate your replies, thank you very much. Even though I realize my doubts are normal, hearing others who are have been in a similar position helps.
  2. I keep having moments of panic regarding my choce of school. I was offered two TA positions both of which came with full tuition wavers and small stipends. Both schools are great, but I chose the one that had a more glam reputation. I can't help but think what if I chose the other school. I was even tempted to email the director of the other program and beg to be re-admitted. Please tell me others have felt this way! Is my waffling normal, I have had nightmares and thoughts of transfering after my first semester if I am unhappy. HELP! Is this normal??
  3. My SO is currently working on his Masters, he is done this June. I start in August. Best decision we ever made to do it this way. Can't imagine having both of us in grad school at the same time. Those of you who are doing it, with kids in tow, AMAZING!
  4. Thank you for your input Decaf! Update, I found out this morning that I will receive a stipend at AZ, almost as much as Case. I also heard back from a Prof. about research studies and they are willing to facilitate what I want/need. I am pretty sure this has clinched my decision to go to AZ, they have bent over backwards to get me there.
  5. I posted this elswhere earlier, but this may be the better forum for my quetions. I have been accepted into the Masters program for dance at two Unviersities. Both have offered me full funding. School A is full funding and a TA appointment (which I am excited about) has a very respected program as well as wonderful faculty who have openly shown their excitment for me to attend. School B has offered full funding plus a stipend, is in the same area where I got my undergrad so I have friends as well as family close by. School B although smaller and less prestigious is doing some wonderful and interesting research in an area I enjoy. Both are great schools, but what do I choose? Research and extra cash, or prestigious faculty which could equal more oppourtunity for networking etc??? Thoughts?? I have until Monday April 23 to decide. Thank you!
  6. Dealing with the same situation. School A is more prestigious, amazing faculty and I just got that good gut feeling when I visited/auditiond. Fully funded, not stipend. School B has the research program I am interested in, nurturing faculty but small less known program, Close to family and friends and a stipend. Fighting with myself every day about where to go, having nightmares. Not fun. Have until Monday to figure it out.
  7. I have been accepted into the Masters program for dance at both the Univeristy of Arizona and Case Western Reserve. Both have offered me full funding, Case has also offered a stipend. For most Arizona would be the obvious choice, the dance department is stellar and I was thrilled to get in. My reasons for floundering are; 1. I am married and a stipend would make things a bit easier financially 2. Case has the curriculum focus I am interested in (dance science) and 3. Arizona is much more well known and could help me get a job after graduation. Thoughts?? I have until Monday April 23 to decide. Thank you!
