  1. Lol, so glad I'm not the only one who had trouble deciphering. Mine also only shows Fall 2013/Spring 2014. MPPgal, yours actually shows both semesters of the first year for a total of two boxes, right? Or do you see awards for both years?
  2. OK sorry, I was having a bit of moment there, $10 k scholarship ($5k each term). Incredibly grateful and thanks again for all your support folks!
  3. PS Congrats people.
  4. OK clearly I'm doing something wrong, how did you guys view your amounts?
  5. Are you kidding me GPPI? Just got an email that I have been awarded merit aid and my online admissions letter is updated accordingly, but it does not specify an amount! I'm jumping out of my skin here, anyone else get a specific figure online? Don't mean to be ungrateful I'm just dying to find out how realistic this is... Gah!!!
  6. Ditto acceptance to MPP at Trachtenberg but no funding. I wonder how worthwhile it would be to apply for the generic GWU fellowships...
  7. It just said "We will send out scholarship decisions in the next few weeks." It was a personal email in response to a question on 2/12. Sorry I can't be of more help, I'm sure we'll all post once we hear anything. Fingers crossed
  8. An email in response to a question I had asked. OMG I'm dying to find out these packages!!!
  9. Hey friends, I just got a financial aid offer from the business side of my dual degree, nothing yet from the policy folks. Just wondering, for those of you who got fin aid offers, were they guaranteed for one year or all? I got guaranteed in-state, tuition remissision, and a scholarship all only guaranteed for the first year... And it didn't say anything about renewing....
  10. Hmm thanks for the info guys. I didn't apply for the Robertson because it looked like that was aimed at people with an international focus and I'm definitely more domestic. Congrats on the half assistantship!
  11. Thanks Azrou! Lacanadiense I heard they'll be making decisions "over the next few weeks" so who knows how long that could be. It looked like even when they set deadlines for themselves in prior years they didn't meet them.
  12. UA_politician just to clarify I'm a domestic student, not international. I haven't heard anyone else reference that form yet, but I saw it posted form last year too. I'd imagine we don't fill it out until there is a 2013 version up, right?
  13. I just got my Maryland decision, which I'm very happy about, but it came with a letter saying "We are unsure at this point whether we will be able to grant you financial support in the form of scholarships or graduate assistantships. We will contact you further on this matter only if our efforts to secure funding for you are successful. All students always have the opportunity to apply for graduate assistantships in our research centers and across campus, as well as for central financial support in subsequent semesters based on their performance in the program." Soooooo probably not getting funding
  14. Congrats Dinosaur7, that's awesome! P.S. UA_politician, no I was not told anything about that fin aid form you posted, and I noticed it was for 2012-2013, anyone else hear anything about that?
  15. Bump. I see more people have gotten into Maryland with funding, anyone care to share stats? P.S. Anyone else looking at the dual MBA MPP?
  16. I applied to all 3 + Maryland, UMN Humphrey, and George Mason. Hedging my bets I've been accepted to GPPI and Humphrey. My top choices are either GPPI or Maryland's dual MBA MPP. Flyers 1 and Manicbat what are your guys' stats if I may ask? (Mine: 3.14 GPA, 170 Verbal, 163 Quant, TFA and a year or two of policy experience.) Did American say anything about funding? Georgetown let some of us know we're under consideration for scholarships
  17. Yeah I'm worried about that too. When people listed their scholarship amounts that was straight up free money, right? Hopefully assistantships are separate and abundant... I haven't seen many GPPI posters from previous years talk about assistantships, have you guys found anything?
  18. Congrats, sherpa07! Thanks for the info!
  19. OMG guys I just turned mine in, now to wait....so nervous!!!
  20. I saw someone posted their Maryland "MAPO" results, and said they found out via Website. Anyone know how it's done? When you log in does it say "Accepted" instead of "Submitted"? My account just says "Submitted".
  21. I'm feeling confused too, obviously we addressed fit in our SOPs. So do we reuse some of that because it was already appropriate, and because maybe they don't have it in front of them? Or do we restate in different ways, or what?
  22. Thanks for the info Azrou. This may be a stupid question, but is it safe to assume the Scholarship Committee has read the rest of our application, including SOP? Do you think they have it in front of them?
  23. Hello everyone, thanks for starting this thread Dinosaur 7. As everyone has said, GPPI definitely does waves of acceptances, and I know I saw in a previous year that someone who wasn't accepted until mid-March got a scholarship. I completed my app 1/13, and I have been accepted and invited to write the scholarship one-pager by Wed at 2 pm. I have a 3.14 GPA (yes, you read that right, hope it gives hope to others), 170 Verbal, 163 Quant, and 3 years of relevant policy experience. (My last name is in the latter half of the alphabet, sorry. It appears the AdCom moves in mysterious ways.) People who are writing the scholarship statement: How are you formatting it? Are you doing it like a letter "Dear Members of the Committee [statement] Sincerely, Name" or just an essay? Good luck guys!
