  1. I emailed the DGS for Temple, Rutgers, and Brandeis last week. Nothing.
  2. Since I haven't heard from UConn or Temple by now, I'm assuming I was rejected. I did give in and call Rutgers last week, and apparently the adcomm is in the last stage of discussions and decisions should be finalized next week. I'm not holding out hope because I've already seen people wait listed for funding. Assuming a rejection will be coming from Brandeis soon. So... UDel and one school in a different field are left. Crossing fingers...
  3. A few years back I graduated with a 2.95 and got accepted to two of the five schools I applied to, and one offered me a scholarship! I ended up going to the non-scholarship school because of the location. None of the schools I applied to required GREs, so I didn't take them. I would recommend finding some professors who will give you really good recommendations. It can be done, you just need to make sure all the other parts of your application make up for it. Good luck! As far as debt is concerned... It's an MSW. You won't be making much when you graduate, so don't take out a ridiculous amount of loans to get the degree. It's not worth it, and the job market now is not pretty.
  4. Just a shot in the dark here, did anyone apply to UDel?
  5. Congrats!! Any word on funding? I didn't get an interview but I did have an informal phone interview with a professor a few months ago so I'm still holding on to a shred of hope.
  6. Click "fall 2013." +$1 to Giddens a few pages back for that helpful hint, haha.
  7. Congrats! Haven't heard anything, and my application status online is still "complete ready for review." You're the third acceptance I've heard of, there are 2 others listed on the results page.
  8. Thanks! On that note, anyone want to claim that Temple acceptance via phone?
  9. I didn't get an interview, but I wasn't too worried about it because I had a pretty good phone conversation with a professor in my specialty earlier in the app process. Now that I know that the interview was with the director of the grad program, that makes me a little more nervous that I didn't get one! Glad to know it should only be another week or two before I know for sure, just trying to remind myself that I'm not rejected until I'm rejected. Thanks so much for the update!!
  10. People who got interview requests from Rutgers, any updates/info?
  11. Oh okay! Thanks! Still says "complete ready for review." Oh well. Wow, small cohort for Brandeis. Won't hold my breath then, haha.
  12. Aah where does it say that for Temple? Under "application preference" for me it just says "not entered." As for Brandeis, apps were due almost 8 weeks ago, it has to be soon!! Do you know how many acceptances they usually give?
  13. Nothing yet. Based on past years it looks like they decide closer to the end of February. Anyone apply to UConn or Brandeis?
  14. Has anyone else heard anything from Rutgers other than the two that posted they got e-mails? I haven't heard a peep from any of the 6 schools I applied to!
