Brief background: applying for Masters programs for Fall 2013 acceptance, before applying to Med. School The problem: I took a summer course (3-credit elective) at another university last year. For some odd reason, the course and grade were reported TWICE (even though I took the class for the first time that summer), and on my transcript, there are two lines of the same course, and grade. At first, I thought it was just a computer error or something; it took a while to update on my transcript, too (updated end of November last semester), because there were processes on both sides that took long. I've contacted the registrar at both my campus and the other campus, but likewise, everyone is confused and unsure why that happened. It looks like this: University Name Summer Term Course Title Course Number Grade Credits Course Title Course Number Grade Credits I got an A, so there are two A's instead of one. It doesn't impact my gpa, by even 0.01. Every time I call either registrars, I get the run around and no one understands where the error came in. One time, someone said I could contact the professor of the course, and we could work something out to "Withdraw" one of the courses. I think this would leave a W on the transcript? Other than that, I haven't gotten any other feedback, just that they will "look into it". It's a minor problem, I know Maybe I'm just making a big deal out of nothing. But I'm worried that I need to do something now. I'm worried that this will be flagged or something by Admissions Committee? and then it'll be a hassle to take care of when that time comes, so I want to do anything I could NOW, only no one knows what to do. Any advice? Has this happened to anyone before? How would this affect my application, is there anything I'm missing? Also, I emailed the professor of that course, but no response, I checked with the uni, he no longer teaches there..
