Just noticed someone on twitter post about an hour ago that they did not receive an award -- as far as I can tell they are in Montreal, which is where I am. I haven't got any news yet though... suppressing an urge to sit by the mailbox.
Weird that someone in Montreal would have heard already. I'm in Ottawa, like a 10 min walk from the SSHRC office, and I haven't received anything.

FYI: I emailed them for clarification of when letters would be mailed. They just wrote back:
The results for the Postdoctoral competition will be mailed this afternoon.
Thanks for the update. I'm in Ottawa, just down the street from SSHRC, so hopefully that means I'll get the letter soon. Will update when I get it.

BTW I just emailed SSHRC this morning, and they told me they will be mailing out the letters at the 'beginning of March,' which is annoyingly vague.
Good luck everyone!

For those people applying through York, I just spoke with someone at the FGS awards department and was told that the Doctoral SSHRC recipients are under an 'embargo' and the names won't be released to students until SSHRC has informed students of their awards directly. So, in other words, we've got to wait for the letters.
Congrats to all those who've received awards!

This is really ridiculous! I applied for the May 1st SSHRC because I need it for my summer fieldwork and now I'm only finding out at the end of May! I'm basically going into the field having no idea if I have funding available or not... In the future SSHRC should really be clear with those students applying for the early dispersal and inform them that they may not get their funding on time.

Hi All,
Looks like the mail carrier arrived at the last possible moment. I just got the letter. I received the postdoc!
I was in Committee 3. My score was 4.85/6. Ranked 9/120 applications. 23 offered (19.2% success rate).
