to put light on the discussion, all the in Indian Univ mentioned are the TOP schools (not just near TOP but the highest in ranking) (This kinda makes me sad since not a single Indian from an average collg (like mine)))

Same here, I am too interested in similar program. But due to unfavorable profile and not-so-great undergrad (school/course), I will be looking at schools slightly below the rankings of which you have posted. incase you want to see my profile http://www.mathematicsgre.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=890&p=4878#p4878 (dont' want to be called i-troll for double posting, thus giving the link alone) I am mostly interested in ICES, UT Austin or AMSC, UMD (ofcourse, these are dream places), and still searching for more realistic colleges.... (cannot go back into past and undo/redo the things, but trying to make the most of what i have and what I can) would you know similar programs albeit at lower ranked (and less intensely competitive schools) ?
