The same here... Does UVa have another website for checking application status? (Or, no change means a silent rejection? )

Quick question: if one doesn't receive any invitation to prospective students' weekend at NYU, does that equal a letter of rejection?

I am also curious what the language proficiency test is about? Does it mainly consist of some sections of reading comprehension? Will writing in the language be a must?

I have the same concern. I am an international student, but I have completed a MA degree in the US. Being a bad test-taker, I had a 152 verbal, and a 165 quantitative. It seems so lame for applying to a history PhD program. I feel really frustrated about my poor GRE performance. Should I continue my application?
