  1. Hi everyone, I'm just starting this thread in the hopes that anyone attending Pitt this year will see it... and we can discuss housing, things to do, excitement, etc etc! I will be attending Queen's MIR (Master Industrial Relations) program in the fall, and I thought perhaps those of you who would be going there could join me in a discussion on the following topic: moving to Kingston finding a place to live and anything else interesting are you planning on living on or off campus? I am looking to rent a nice and quiet two bedroom apartment in the nice area not "student ghetto". Would anyone be interested in sharing the cost? If anyone interested, email me please. If you do decide to live off campus but don't want to be alone, we can share accommodations or a room in a house filled with other students. Marina
  2. Has anyone heard from Queen's or University of Toronto so far for their MIR program. If so could you kindly share your profile (undergrad, GPA, experience etc)? Thank a bunch everyone. I have a bachelor in human resources, and my gpa is high but my only concern is that I attended a community college (to save money) and not an university. Wondering if that will make any difference in their decisions.
  3. Did anyone hear back from Queen's MIR? Do they notify successful or unsuccessful applicants first? I have a strong academic record 3.9 out of 4.00 GPA. My only concern is that my undergraduate is from community college and not from University. Wondering if that might have any impact on their decision. I am still in my final semester, but I will be finishing it in 4 weeks. I am so freaking out right now. Application was due March 1st. Why does it take them so long? Rina

  5. Hey everyone, I am thinking applying into MIRHR program at UofT. I was told it is very competitive program to get into. If it's not to much to ask can you please answer the following question: - Did you have any experience working in field labour relations or HR when you applied? If yes, how long have you been working in field? - What was your gpa? I am still in my degree program. Will gpa 3.70 do it or do I have to get higher? Any insights would be very helpful. Thank you. Marina
