Could someone tell me how important the GRE Subject Test (in Computer Science) is for Graduate admissions (PhD in computer science) into the best US universities? For example, Caltech "strongly recommends" it here: http://www.cms.caltech.edu/academics/grad. Thanks a lot for your time!

Thanks for your answer. I mostly wrote what other people had written in similar evaluation requests. Could you tell what other information I should supply, or is it less without the GRE scores?

I want to get in a PhD program at a top 10 US school. I am now a Senior Undergraduate at Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. Overall GPA: 3.9, ranked 2nd in my course. CS GPA: 3.86 GRE: Not given yet Internships: One research internship at Imperial College London. One internship at Google India. Recommendations: One from my supervisor at ICL. Two good ones from professors at my university. Research Publications: None. Many thanks for any input and your time.
